It is also not recommended if you are pregnant; please wait a month after delivery to receive your cosmetic acupuncture treatment.
IS IT PAINFUL?
These needles are so tiny that most patients don’t even feel them! They are nothing like the needles you see at the doctor’s office. In fact, over 40 needles make up the width of a regular needle used by a doctor. Most patients often say they can feel the needling working by pulling and tightening their skin during treatment but there is no pain. In fact, most patients find themselves in a state of deep relaxation, with a heavy and warm tingling sensation.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Unfortunately, we can not give you a direct answer to this question. Your skin concerns may be different from others and may require a much shorter or longer treatment protocol. There are many factors to take into considerations including diet, hereditary, hormones, and your cosmetic goal. Usually, after a few treatments, patients will notice some changes while many may feel their skin tightening or see a glow after their first treatment. Around the 7th or 8th treatment, collagen starts to kick in and the skin may start to look smoother. By the 12th treatment, we recommend our cosmetic patients have a consultation with us to access their skincare needs.
IS COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE GOOD FOR ACNE OR ACNE SCARS?
Absolutely! We love working with acne. We not only work on the acne itself but the underlying cause of it. Herbs may be required to help address the underlying cause of the breakout. Depending on the severity of the case, treatments can take up to 6 months. We typically see faster results but there’s a lot of factors involve so it’s best to book a consultation with us to discuss your particular case.
